Screening trials are use to detect a certain disease most often and these types of trials can also be used in order to locate abnormalities in the body or other types of health concerns. Screening are very useful for detecting medical conditions and are an asset to the field of medicine that has lead to many lives being saved over the years. A trial that is often noted in many medical research studies is the various treatment trials that have been performed over the years. Treatment are most often used as a way to test treatments that are experimental in nature. These trials also test things like new drug combinations and approaches to fields such as radiology and surgery. Needless to say treatment as well as screening trials are very necessary in the field of medicine.

In addition to screening and treatment other types of trials include diagnostic and prevention. Both of these clinical trials are necessary to the field of medicine as well through the attempt to find better methods of doing things in this field. Diagnostic are used to find tests and procedures that are better at diagnosing specific conditions while prevention try to find better methods of preventing these conditions, thus both types of clinical trials complement each other very well.
